“It’ll be a version of it, because that’s the one in which [Sherlock] returns,” he explained. “How much or how little [we change], I don’t know yet.
“As before, we cherry pick and we choose bits and pieces of other [stories] that we like. They’re always less literal adaptations.”

loki lands on pete’s world after he falls at the end of “thor” and rose meets him, collects him for torchwood, and takes care of him until he’s healthy and she fixes him and they share stories about the stars and planets and stuff and where they’ve been. and and loki totally knows rose still loves the doctor but he can’t resist falling in love with her and it’s just breaking his heart that this lovely girl, this powerful bad wolf, who should be a queen, he thinks, spends all of her time trying to get back to the doctor and leave him.
but he can’t help it, he falls for her because she’s just so compassionate, and she doesn’t treat him like he’s so much better or so much less than her— he’s just an equal to her. and god, it’s everything he needed, but then she comes back one day, so excited, and she tells him that the dimension canon is working and that she’s going to find the doctor and leave this place.
and he smiles for her, but he just breaks inside because he never gets what he wants, and it’s just not fair. and she kisses him goodbye and he breaks once more, he’ll never be good enough for anyone.
